We went there on Saturday, April 13. It was our first time, but with the amazing reviews and the BYOB, what can go wrong? Apparently a lot! (Maybe it was the 13?) So let's start: Parking: they have a lot behind the restaurant but it was dark and crowded so I parked on the side street, which was really ok, lots of space. Not a big deal. Entrance: We went in and waited like 10 minutes, but nobody ever came to ask us what we are there for. They went by, looked at us, but never came to see who we are. Eventually we went inside by ourselves and found our party seated at the table wondering why we are late. A bit annoying, but not a big deal either. At the table: There is a small card on the table with a barcode and from what I understood, they expect you to use your phone and get the menu from it. We don't like playing with our phones at dinner so we asked for a the menu, which they promptly provided. And then we learned there is no option "a la carte" but only "table d'hote" with a 4 service which includes entree, trou normand (a kind of frozen juice you eat with a spoon), main course and desert. A bit annoying again but nothing major and really not a big deal, so we ordered and and we looked forward to enjoy the food. The food: I ordered the soup and the filet mignon. Soup was too salty and had no taste at all. I left it almost untouched (they never asked me why when they took away the plate). The filet, which I ordered medium, was overcooked and burned on the outside. I had to shave the outside to be able to eat some of it because I was hungry. And at 74$ this was a REALY BIG deal. My wife ordered the roasted cauliflower and the fish of the day. The cauliflower was okay but there was no sign or taste of the feta sauce and the fish was no more than eatable, but at 63$ it was really a let down. And this too was a REALY BIG deal. Also, somebody in our party doesn't eat desert, but they had to pay for it anyway because there is no other option. I wouldn't have minded the cost, if you enjoy what you pay for. Not at this place. We had way better food at many other restaurants for less.

Very bad treatment. We reserved for a party of 4 for Saturday night. On Friday night at 10 I got a call and they asked for a credit card !?! Why? To make sure you're coming. Then I started getting texts at 10 pm Friday and 8 am Saturday reminding me to enter my card into the Open Table site. I felt like dealing with some kind of delinquent environment where people are expected to cheating each other all the time. I also didn't like the Open Table site to have my card in their record and when they called again on Saturday morning I told them so. They canceled my reservation!! I also understood why they asked for my credit card: the Open Table says that if you are no show or even cancel at less than 24 hours they charge 40$ pp. !!! Really?!? I think people are eager to get out after this pandemic and they are doing well for now. So they don't care treating people bad... But I'm not concerned. They will learn. There are many other restaurants in Montreal.
