SOULFEST MTL returns for its third edition from July 9 to 12, bringing four days of free outdoor concerts to the forecourt of St. James Church in the heart of downtown Montréal. Celebrating the rich sounds of Soul, Motown, R&B, Disco, Funk, and Gospel, the festival will feature an exciting lineup of acclaimed artists, including Dawn Tyler Watson, Kim Richardson, Freddie James, and many emerging Canadian performers.
A vibrant summer gathering, SOULFEST MTL invites audiences to enjoy a unique musical and cultural experience in one of Montréal's most iconic heritage settings. Throughout the festival, the St. James Church forecourt will be transformed into an open-air stage where established artists and rising talents will perform free concerts, showcasing the diversity and energy of the soul music scene.
Beyond the music, SOULFEST MTL aims to revitalize downtown Montréal by creating an inclusive public space where culture, community, and local businesses come together. In addition to the free outdoor programming, Le Balcon Cabaret Chic will host a series of exclusive indoor concerts. Dawn Tyler Watson will open the festival with her Motown & Soul show on July 9, Freddie James will pay tribute to soul legends on July 10, Disco Chic Ultime will headline Saturday night's celebration on July 11, and Kim Richardson will close the festival with a special performance on July 12.
Festivalgoers can also enjoy a specially curated Soul Food menu available throughout the event, both on the outdoor terrace and as part of Le Balcon's dinner-and-show packages, adding a culinary dimension to the celebration.
