On August 15, Ausgang Plaza will host the third edition of Rire sous le soleil (Laughing Under the Sun), a comedy show that has become a true celebration of cultural diversity and connection. At a time when conversations around inclusion, representation, and living together are more important than ever, the event uses humor to bring people together while showcasing voices that reflect the diversity of Québec today.
Following previous headliners Alexandre Barrette and Sinem Kara, this year's event will be headlined by comedian Eddy King.
What if laughter were the best way to bring communities together?
Presented by Divertissements Double R, Rire sous le soleil will feature six comedians with diverse backgrounds and unique comedic styles: Eddy King, Dolino, Djeff Martin, Oussama El Idmini, Rachelle Elie, and Réginald St-Eloy, who will also host the evening. Notably, three of the performers were also part of the latest Just for Laughs lineup, highlighting the strength and relevance of this year's edition.
With roots spanning Haiti, Morocco, Cuba, several African countries, and Toronto, these comedians draw on their personal stories, accents, cultural references, and life experiences to deliver a distinctly Québécois style of comedy shaped by the diversity of the people who create it.
