The day will begin with a traditional Sunrise Ceremony followed by a Civic Ceremony to honour this important occasion. Participants will be invited to gather for sacred teachings and cultural traditions led by Mohawk Elders, including singing, drumming, the lighting of the sacred fire, and a tobacco ceremony. Community leaders and representatives will also share ceremonial remarks reflecting on the significance of the day, its history, and its continued importance.
Everyone is welcome to join this meaningful celebration in front of the Montréal Science Centre and take part in a morning of reflection, respect, and community.
