Event Description

This fall, Montreal's public markets are celebrating Quebec beer with three Oktoberfest celebrations taking place over three weekends. Atwater, Maisonneuve and Jean-Talon Markets will welcome visitors for local craft beer discoveries, food, live music and Oktoberfest-inspired activities.

Atwater Market
September 18th to 20th, 2026

The 5th edition of Atwater Market's Oktoberfest kicks off the festivities with a musical lineup inspired by country, Bavarian sounds and bluegrass. Guests can enjoy performances by the Winslow Dancers, Vieux Müzich, the Picky Pickers, DJ Kelly and DJ Blast. Aylwin Barbecue will also be on site with smoked specialties, hot dogs and sauerkraut, along with pretzels.

Sunday, September 20th: 11am to 6pm

Maisonneuve Market
September 26th and 27th, 2026

For its 3rd edition, Maisonneuve Market will offer a weekend dedicated to beer and food. Highlights include raclette from Frères Raclette, burgers from Hngry, beer history workshops, craft beer discoveries and guided tastings led by beer sommelier Yan Lortie. Vieux Müzich, the Picky Pickers and DJ André Bazin will provide the music, while the Winslow Dancers will lead country dance lessons.

Jean-Talon Market
October 2nd to 4th, 2026

The Oktoberfest series wraps up at Jean-Talon Market with its 4th edition. The weekend will feature music by Vieux Müzich, Lucas Choi Zimbel, the Picky Pickers, DJ André Bazin and DJ Kelly, along with beer workshops led by Yan Lortie and local food offerings. Visitors can enjoy the famous hot dogs from Balkani, discover products from Boulangerie St-Méthode and explore a selection of Quebec craft beers.

Saturday, October 3rd: 11am to 10pm
Sunday, October 4th: 11am to 6pm

Quebec Craft Beer and Oktoberfest Fun

The three celebrations will bring together a variety of Quebec microbreweries, with the selection changing according to the market and the day. Beer lovers can expect lagers, pilsners, IPAs, stouts, fruit beers, sours, seasonal brews and non-alcoholic options.

Admission is free. Tasting glasses are available for $3.50 and steins for $7. Beer tastings are sold separately, and card payments only are accepted for tastings.

The Oktoberfests are presented by the Société des Marchés publics de Montréal in collaboration with Les Survenants.
