The Massimadi Foundation invites you to discover a multidisciplinary, free and relaxed programme. Relish in the smiles, moves, make-up, and talent of a dozen black, LGBTQ+, and empowered artists.
Massimadi en rue is an installation based on Montreal artist Kezna Dalz's (also known as Teenadult) garden of wonders. The lyrical scenography is composed of three decorated wooden cabins and giant chess sets.
The cabins house an audio and video system for the continuous viewing of a cycle of dreamy, bold, and socially engaged Brazilian short films in a safe and intimate environment. For two days in a row, this installation will warm up to the fire of local creators Dieuvela Etienne (September 11th) and Afro Drag (September 12th) who will present original dance and music performances.
Come and be inspired by the electrifying force of Afroqueer dreams and aspirations from both home and abroad.
Together, let us celebrate joy and resilience.
Together, let's rediscover the spirit of community.
