I liked the atmosphere. The kids menu was great and they brought it really fast for our kid that was very thoughtful. The mango salad, wonton soup, cocktails and main plate were perfect. The only negative point was the reservation. I had reserved a table online a few days ago and I mentioned that we would need a high chair but when we arrived neither of those were ready. A lovely resto with a friendly and unpretentious approach. The value for money is spot on. I would like to see options for vegetarian mains, perhaps it's possible if you make arrangements in advance. My family and I never bother looking for restaurants when it's someone's birthday we are at The Keg because we are never disappointed but we unfortunately had a different experience at this location. Our steaks didn't feel and taste fresh and my medium well steak was well done, dry in the center and tough. The calamari was great as usual though. One of my sisters steaks was bitter to taste and overcooked so she had it redone... now her new steak was good and tasted fresh and exactly like it should have (Glad she had a good steak). I'm giving the restaurant a 3 simply because I can't remove points for service and atmosphere.Voir plus

We were pleasantly greeted with a smile during a very busy afternoon without any reservations.. during our time of the visit was the eclipse and people were everywhere... Me and my partner just wandered upon this town, which is cute by the way, and we needed food fast.. arriving, everybody had a big smile on their face. We were easily assisted to a table.. we had a bilingual server which helped as my partner does not speak French which is some communities that may be frowned upon in Quebec, but in this restaurant, we felt comfortable. The food here was very good and very fresh... You could tell this large restaurant does a lot of different types of events maybe even in the summertime to accomplish all of that good food and great atmosphere is something hard to do. can't wait to come back to town and check it out again and this will be our place to revisit for food for sure.Voir plus
Overpriced. Food was good but the drinks are very expensive. 15$ for a cocktail with a big chunk of ice and very little alcohol . That's a rip off. Atmosphere/service: Ce restaurant est très bruyant du à la configuration de la pièce. Le pire c'est en haut où le plafond est bas et ça amplifie le bruit. Vous passerez un moment désagréable. Le serveur à insisté à multiples reprises pour nous demander ce qu'on voulait boire. Une des tables à l'étage était occupé par 5 femmes qui étaient complètement ivres. Le même serveur n'arrêtait pas de les servir... Au point où les deux tables à côté d'elles ont demandé à être déplacé. À notre tour nous avons demandé de changer de table, le serveur nous a dit que c'était pas possible sans vraiment prêter attention à notre requête. Food: les plats sont minuscules, c'est la première spécialité de la maison. Ils essayent de se présenter comme un restaurant étoilé mais les plats sont bien en deçà d'une telle qualité. Le tartare a dû grâce aux épices, mais le poisson manque de qualité. Le crudo de pétoncles n'est pas mauvais mais le mélange kumquat fenouil montre un manque de talent en cuisine. Les calamars fris.. Soit l'huile n'est pas changé souvent soit elle est de mauvaise qualité mais j'avais l'impression de manger une friture de fast food. Les carrotes... Étaient peut-être le pire sur le menu. Ça n'était tout simplement pas bon. Enfin le risotto était descent mais rien d'extraordinaire, le riz était cuit correctement, les champignons avaient de la texture mais les saveurs n'avaient rien de spéciales. La pièces de boeuf était très bonne.. La seule chose "réussie" sur le menu, bien que les haricots verts étaient croustillants au point où ils n'avaient pas été cuit complètement et recouverts de beurre pour vous faire oublier ces manquements en cuisine... Enfin le fondant au chocolat était recouvert d'une toute petite boule de glace qui font tellement vite que ça rend le fondant peu agréable à la texture humide.. Donc plutôt déçu par la nourriture. Tout est dans l'apparence ici, rien dans le fond. Vu le comportement du serveur. Nous n'avons pas laissé de pourboire. Le serveur s'est alors énervé et nous a dit qu'il fallait laissé un pourboire. Nous lui avons fait comprendre que son comportement n'était pas acceptable.Voir plus

It's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, as I am writing about eating at Connie's. So take this with a grain of salt. (If there is a pun here, it's intended). We have always lived in a pathetic world. But the extent to which we are came crashing down on me yesterday during what will be my last time in this once fabled establishment. A request for an off menu item (a BLT) stunned the person taking my order. Once I explained to them how to make one (a sign of things to come) I was charged the price of a club sandwich. Worse yet, they tacked on a supplemental charge to off set the strain of having to make a BLT. 27$ dollars later and a shit BLT, I began to grieve the end of my relationship with what had been up until the home of the finest submarine sandwich. Epharisto poly fuckers.
