We actually ordered take-out from here. Food is delicious; juicy and flavourful! Arrived in a timely manner and definitely depicts in my mind what `southern`food should taste like. Will order from there again!

decided to have my birthday dinner here after reading many good reviews on a few blogs that i follow. we didn't have to wait long to be seated or served, but then again this was a sunday so keep that in mind. our server was friendly and checked on us at appropriate times (our water was always filled, etc). food was delish, and the portions huge. price is what you'd expect for downtown. i believe the owner was there that night (he was dressed differently than the servers so i assume so) and even he asked us if everything was alright. would definitely go back, there's so much more to try there!

Went here for Valentine's Day. I had the Cajun combo and have to agree with another reviewer's comments about the chicken being dry, the tomatoes/sauce quite acidic and the rice though nicely seasoned was pasty. I had some sort of fruity cocktail that was tasty and went down really easy. Bf had some sort of beef thing and was quite pleased with it. I found the cornbread and hushpuppies dry; we tried the alligator and was good. Chocolate mousse for dessert, was delicious. It was very noisey and packed- The restaurant isn't very spacious. Was recommended to go there, but not sure we'll return.

I've had better at a similar restaurant but the doner here is tasty and just because they had galaktoboureko (a custard-y dessert) I would go back.

No matter the type of gyro you're having, they're all good. Best fast-food tzatziki I've had- Not the watered down some places offer. They used to have better fries. Worth a try if you're in the hood.

I have had take-out from here for years. I don't like their fries so much- Seems we always get the overly crisp ones. The sauce is good and the chicken is always moist, though sometimes a bit too greasy. Would be great if they expanded their menu a bit, like adding club sandwich or poutine.

The poutine is not bad, and the club is pretty good too. I like that the fries are 'dark' but not too crispy or greasy.

The frozen yogurt here is awesome. I've tried a few flavours (cheesecake, chocolate, raspberry, coconut, pink grapefruit, blood orange, pumpkin) and the toppings are always fresh. You serve yourself and pay by weight- A little word of caution though; filling the whole tub they give you is going to cost you roughly $8. You can mix and match flavours which is nice; my fiance, toddler and myself all love the combination that tastes like chocolate raspberry cheesecake (cheesecake froyo, chocolate froyo, raspberry froyo with fresh strawberry or raspberries). The location is small and doesn't carry their other goodies like coffee or the fondue stuff and what's available is limited, but the staff are friendly and the place is very clean.

My fiance wanted to try out this place since it's just down the street from us. We'd both heard how great it was from so many people and thought it would be worth it. WRONG. My fiance said the wait for the food was too long for something deemed "fast food". We each ate the burger that has the St. Paulin cheese on it and spicy fries. Also, though the fries weren't greasy the seasoning was was dry and way too much of it (and I can handle decently spicy food). Overall, I wasn't impressed with place unfortunately (was hoping for something good since it's local) and for the price tag $20+I will never eat there again.

My friends and I ate there one time when we wanted to try something different. It is very noisy in there and the way the tables are set up people seem as if they're staring at you... It was overly warm inside (it was a cold night, but I don't think I should be breaking a sweat in a restaurant) and a little too dimly lit. The servers didn't come around too often. The food was good, but I felt it was overpriced . I had a salad with shrimp which was fine and we shared a spinach dip appetizer ( Then again, I can make it at home for less while being tastier and healthier). I don't recall having dessert of any sort, but we did have cocktails. I had some cranberry-ish and it was tasty. It was a treat to eat out downtown with the girls, but it hasn't been and won't be a repeat.

I have been here a handful of times with anywhere from a group of 3-8 people. I think the ambiance is nice and the food is reasonably priced for what you get. On one occasion my fiance ordered a steak and it was way too salty, so he asked for a new one. The waiter kept insisting that they don't put any seasoning on the meat (my friend and I each tried a piece- It was salty). My friend is the one who demanded to speak to the manager, and finally after some arguing they gave him a new one. Their excuse is that they salt the fries (it was on the same plate) and that some must have went on the steak- What, like 1/3 of a shaker? Seriously. I had a steak salad and asked for the steak medium-rare and it was way well-done but I didn't complain for the few small pieces they served atop. The last time we went they had some sort of autumn festival promotion and we ordered it; the steak with roasted beets/goat cheese was relatively flavourless but the butternut squash soup (with either pear or apple in it too) was delicious and the slightly spicy cornbread with honey butter was amazing. Generally I would go there again, as I already have because though the customer service is not too great the food is worth that.

We went to this restaurant because the concept seemed interesting. The night we went it wasn't full when we got in, but filled up quickly afterwards. The staff was only French (thankfully we're bilingual) and did their best to be helpful. We shared appetizers- I recall some sort of fried polenta which none of us liked and a trio plate that included olives/hummus/olive oil/dukkah (of sorts). The hummus wasn't that great, but we all enjoyed bread dipped in the olive oil and the dukkah. We all had the lentil-type soup and thought it was good. As my main I had a butternut squash-mushroom risotto; I didn't like the texture or taste very much however the portion was generous. We wouldn't go back as overall we weren't pleased with our meal (that didn't come cheap) and felt awkward as the crowd seemed to be much older than us (35+ at least) and because communicating with the server was a little difficult for my friends.
