Everything was great. The mezzes were really good, the juices were delicious and the main plates were exceptional. The chicken and the lamb were very well presented and they were delicious and the rice was so good, it separated nicely and it was aromatic and perfectly seasoned. There was this one thing that I found particularly amazing though: A couple of backpackers walk in, with a bunch of bags and they sit on a pretty nice table, close to a window. When their waitress comes see them they tell her they just want to drink something and they ask her what the cheapest item on the drink menu is, they order a tea. The owner was there. When the waitress went make that tea, he walks right to them and greets them, with the biggest smile I've ever seen. They told him they were just travelling and seeing Montreal. His reaction amazed me: From a relatively expensive place on the Mile End, I would probably (sadly) expect some attitude towards cheap customers, but he was so nice and so kind to these guys. He told them than travelling was a great thing, he told them if they ever needed anything he'd be happy to help, he told them not to hesitate to come see him if they encountered any difficulty during their stay in Montreal. What a difference from other "fancy" restaurants where you get half food and half attitude!! Regardless from the food I'd totally go back there again just because they're amazing people. Not to mention the food *IS* really good.

I go there all the time. I think they have the best pupusas in town, and I've tried them everywhere. Except for the tacos (pretty bad, barely warm tortilla that tears when you pick it up) the food is great. Their nachos are also the best I've tried in Montreal, nothing to do with gross nachos from a bar. Service is slow, the waitresses can't define well their priorities. They will spend a longtime at the cash while food is ready to go to the table. They should always take the food first and then everything, before it's cold. Or they stare at the TV show while you want a glass of water. Anyways, just don't get tacos and you're fine. Very authentic and great food.
