The food is all the same taste. We were served by 5 different waiters who still managed to get our order wrong and we were only 2 people. Their face changes if you don't take any alcohol to drink and service becomes mediocre.

Pleasantly surprised! We went to this restaurant thinking the food would be disappointing because there are many over-priced restaurants in Montreal that claim they make good food and use quality ingredients. When we ate at Deville's, we were extremely surprised by everything. Even though the prices are high, they are not for nothing. The plates are worth the price because you can taste the flavors and freshness of the ingredients. The chefs are creative. We had the fried pickles as appetizers and they are amazingly delicious! We all tried 4 different plates and they were all delicious (I had the rack of lamb). The portions are perfect. The only downside is that with the gaufrette and steak platter, they barely give you any potatoes. They could have been less stingy on that, but otherwise the portions were good. We will definitely be eating there again. Just be sure to budget about 30-40$ +tax and tip per person at least.

The fish is either always stale/rotten or ok. The rice is usually overcooked and twice we've gotten food poisoning from there. The first time we didn't associate it, but the second time, we nailed it. Eat there at your own risk

The quality of the food there has decreased in the past 3 years. The food feels heavy and the menu is outdated. We used to like this place. If you are looking for bargain food, go after 10pm, although the menu and the food quality is not as good as it used to be. They need to revamp the food.

Over-priced for the taste/quality. The service was very rude and pretentious and the food was lacking flavor. Vegetables were practically raw. Obviously it was too oily and lacking balance. No suggested.

The tables were sticky and the service is prompt and with no courtesy. The burgers are nothing out of the ordinary and under seasoned. Needless to say, I make better burgers at home. I only went there because I heard it was the best burger place in town but it was seriously very bad.

Amazing food with fresh and spicy ingredients. Every week my husband and I go there. He always orders the curry lamb and I try an experimental dish. We are never disappointed. The only item that bothers me on the list is that the chicken with many sauce options is usually deep-fried and breaded first. So the chicken items on the menu taste almost like chinese food. Unless of course you get the tandoori or tikka chicken.. If you take the lamb or beef, they are not deep fried and are VERY delicious. The waiting staff is young and very friendly. They always make sure you have enough water for the amount of spicy food you get. We love this place and have become regulars.

Very rude staff on the phone when trying to reserve and the food was nothing out of the ordinary. For 40$ a person it was overpriced. I wouldn't pay more than 25$ per person at best.

Although the food was good, it wasn't anything too exciting. For the idea of "Concept Japonais" the menu was lacking variety when it comes to japanese cuisine. Their main focus is Sushi and the do have a large hidden menu for that but if you are looking for JAPANESE cuisine and not just sushi, the menu is very choice-limited and not that unique.

Update (Feb 1st): I finally was able to eat there. I decided to give the place a second chance and reserved again. The owner was very apologetic for my previous experience and they were very courteous and offered us some soft drinks on the house. I was impressed. The food was delicious. The soup base (spicy) was very flavorful as well. The desserts were a choice of bean or green tea ice cream and (not or) ice coffee. The dinning experience is a must and it definitely is better than any fondue I've had. A++ customer service and food. January 24: I made reservations and once I got there with my friends, they said they are sorry but they cannot take us regardless of the reservation because they are full. They could have had common courtesy to AT LEAST call me to let me know. We travelled 1 hour to get there and then we left to eat elsewhere. Ruined our evening.

Live cooking entertainment! Fun Chefs! Full course meals! Wonderful restaurant with great atmosphere. Definitely a place for entertainment for kids as well. The chefs are very animated while they cook your food at your table. Although it is a japanese restaurant, the food tastes very chinese. Big difference in the taste so I rated the food lower only because it tastes chinese, although it is still yummy.
