I have been going to this restaurant for a few years now and it was never a disappointment. Good Indian food at a reasonable price. However, we just went this past weekend and were very disappointed.

I have to say that I really wasn't impressed with this restaurant. First of all we were about 10 minutes late due to parking (I called in advance to advise them) and the host with all the tatoo's still gave me attitude. The food was simply OK. Nothing special at all. We ordered the tartar trio and it completely lacked flavor. Even the spicy sauce served with the trio didn't enhance the tuna, salmon and beef tartars flavor it simply masked it. The calamari were good. We enjoyed the fact that they were not greasy and the tartar sauce sauce was good. We also had the Mechant burger which was cooked perfectly but had nothing differentiating it from a good hamburger joint's burger. The highlight of the dinner was the Rasberry Mohito....absolutely delicious. If I was ever to come back...I would only come back for this Mohito...not much else.

Went there recently for a tete a tete with my hubby and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. We had the lobster poutine which was pleasant, however lacked enough lobster pieces to validate its name. we also had the pork and clams as an entree and we both thought that it was delicious. Although many people rave about the steak frites, ours fell a little short...the steak was dry and and lacked the sauce for the fries. What made up for it was the duck with figs....perfectly cooked and the flavors were divine. We sat at the bar and truly enjoyed the experience and the service. Definitely will return.
