It was a very special experience when we were led into the dining area by a hostess with visual impairments. The complete dark atmosphere gave us incomfortable feelings, but at the same time it stimulated our other senses to help finishing the meal. The dishes were delicious, although I had a hard time figuring out the side vegetables on my plate. The funniest part was that while spreading butter on a bun, I was spreading part of the butter on my thumb without noticing.
I RECENTLY HAD DINNER HERE AND HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE. THE MENU WAS EXTENSIVE AND IT WAS HARD MAKING A DECISION. BUT I DECIDED ON THE Black angus beef steak au poivre AND I WAS PLEASED. The side vegetables were fairly decent. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS AND THE STAFF WAS VERY CORDIAL. I WOULD DEFINITLEY GO BACK. I RECOMMEND IT.
I've been to this place a few times. I cannot understand how this restaurant could be both fantastic and terrible at the same time. It is really a hit-or-miss experience. Examples: Great Service, attentive staff, gigantic portions.....but lacking the original and innovative menu (the pasta dishes amazing, fresh warm baguettes),...but one of my salmon dishes came out 30 minutes late, the vegetables over fried, and the salmon grilled on the outside, frozen (yes frozen, not raw) inside. This dish should not have left the kitchen!!! Bottom Line: It would be awesome to maintain its consistency in both food quality and service efficacy. I strongly believe it has lots of potential among the west island italian cuisine!!
