The pizza is good but don't look for a normal crust greek style pizza here. It's very thin and not very substantial to what I'm accustomed to. I asked for a thicker than normal crust but that was not available and walked away still hungry. No fault to Violet Angel, that's just the way their pizza's are done.

I and 6 others visited this restaurant Sat. Dec. 19, 09. It was a packed house which to me is a good sign or perhaps it was due to it being close to Xmas and on a Sat. nite. In any event, I was hungry and anxious to see what was in store for us. As far as the food goes, I can only comment on what I and my wife ordered. Its wide open concept, ambiance and decor is well suited for this type of restaurant. Although filled to capacity, we didn't feel crowded. I began with a fried Calamari starter. It was very good, not over cooked or rubbery and just as it should be. The rolls were crusty and warmed before serving. I like it when people take care of the little things. I ordered the Mussels Diable. A very generous serving of mussels in a spicy tomato broth with a hint of garlic. Tender and not over cooked and very delicious. It was served with a side bowl of fries not of the fozen variety but great homemade Lafleurs style. Again, the little things. My wife had the Lasagna. Again a very generous portion which she said was very, very good. The portion was so great, she doggy bagged half of it. We forget it in the car over night and due to the fact that she enjoyed it so much, she had me running outside to the car the next morning so she could have it for breakfast! Service was excellent. The waiter introduced himself and asked us if we had any questions regarding any of the items on the menu. We weren't rushed, we took out time and the whole service and timing was to perfection. Would we go back? You betcha. The pizza looked good from what I saw gawking at the other tables around us. Perhaps on our next visit. You won't break the bank here and you can bring your own wine.
