I truly enjoyed the hosts, nice and warm people, great service. BUT, I wish to speak about the food, after all it is the main reason of this review. The momos (dumplings) were quite good Chick peas (chana masala) were below the quality standards expected. Not hot enough and just ok. The butter chicken was good, missing a dash of salt but very tender chicken. The naan bread was sub par. The Tibetan steamed bread(timo) roll was ok. The Tibetan spicy beef (sha-ka-tsa) was very good.full of flavor, spicy and sauce was delicious. The beef was fondue meat yet the menu indicated beef strips, not the same thing. In my opinion, try to stick to the Tibetan menu rather than the Indian menu. Price was average, not that economic nor too expensive. +/- 30$/person, beer, no dessert, no coffee.
The negatives of a successful kitchen may be your service. Place is very busy as we've attempted reservations on many occasions over the last 12 months and we finally decided to eat a little later so that we could satisfy our curiosity. Over 45 minutes to receive our appetizer after my request of explanation of why tables that arrived after my group was receiving their main dishes while we were on a bread and water diet. Our waiter was absent the entire evening until my intervention, he was much more interested in playing with his computer screen or he would have noticed our neglected table. Apologies from our waiter and chef, appetizers on the house! Thanks. There was an awkward 20 minute meltdown but the food overcame scrapping the evening. Beware the tip counting waiter at the order terminal! Main meal was simply delicious!
Unbelievable, not to be mistaken with another Portuguese restaurant on mont-royal with a similar name. This place is cool, trendy, new, clean and AWESOME! Best piri-piri sauce in North America! Juicy chicken.
I knew there was a problem when I asked for my burger to be cooked medium and the waiter told me it only comes well done, not happy about dry burger, although the flavor was very good. Dessert was excellent especially the carrot cake and cheesecake.
I was pleasantly surprised with my entire experience. Clean restaurant, including bathrooms. We were a party of 38 and the service was impeccable considering the restaurant was at capacity and the Food was above my expectations. Must try the mussel beginning course, plump and juicy mussels with a delightful light sauce. I had the grouper fillet and it was cooked to perfection and served at the right temperature. Thank you Chef Angelo and staff.
First let me give you my history of this restaurant. First time I dined here must have been in 1991 for my wedding engagement party, 1992-1993 several times with my new wife, 1994- 1st daughters baptism , 1996 second daughters baptism and 1996-1999 several more simpler dinner dates. Fast forward October 2012, and I am inclined to tell you why I stopped going for almost 12 years. BORING FOOD and stale decor. The food was good but not great, same old, same old. I know that this formula has worked for so many years but for heavens saké please go see the trendy restaurants out there, they are gorgeous! Your clients deserve it, they've been paying top price for a great meal but invest in your place. It's clean but stale. The menu needs to incorporate some new cuisine, have the owners been to Italy lately? They are still living in the past and that's ok for the older generation but they must bring on some creative dishes from the present time. I don't mind coming back but please inspire me, inspire yourselves first. Service was impeccable! By the way you're out of Masi Campofiorin wine, 1.5 litre format.!! That shouldn't be happening.
We went to Kam Fung for Dim Sum to find that they don't serve dim sum on Saturday nights, we stayed anyways since we wanted Chinese food.All in all good Chinese food, amazing quantities service was less than average due to a busy evening. I have rated each dish separately: Fried shrimp dumplings **** Spring Rolls **** clams in black beans **** General Tao *** (missing sweet sauce) Cantonese Chow mien **** Roasted Duck ***** Chinese broccoli and beef **** Steamed Turbot ***** Salt&pepper seafood **** (deep fried, a little oily) Clean bathrooms.
As Indian as could be expected. Nice decor and more than adequate and well balanced buffet. Quite busy for a Wednesday lunch on a hot summer vacation day. Excellent price.
Very nice experience, my first tapas place! I enjoyed everything I tried! not used to the smaller portions but gave me a chance to try different items! I must say that I also enjoyed the simplicity of the whole experience! must try this cozy place, we ate on the terrace.
Does not deserve the five star rating. The food is good but not great. The fish in the rolls was not enough in quantity, if I wanted to have mostly vegetables and imitation crab I would have gone to La Stanza. Seriously, I think FuLam serves better Sushi, meaning that it was mediocre sushi at best!! Someone else wrote about sub-standard and very salty soy sauce and I must say they were spot on. Good food but NOT great as the rating demonstrates.
Very good quality and taste. The service from the kitchen was impeccable and quite a nice surprise to find all the dishes very tasty. We've been at the location in St. Laurent and we found Laval a little better food from the kitchen, the sushi was the same at both locations.

We go to this establishment at least once a month, great wholesome Greek doner, loose meat. Anything I've tried here was awesome, not expensive at all and I pray it stays that way.
Quiet evening at this restaurant, as most restaurants on Sunday evenings are. From past reviews, I was skeptical but I must say I was quite impressed! Great service and great tasting food! I will be back and I'll make sure to go on the least busiest days and time slots to ensure the same optimal experience. Must try the meat balls and chicken wings!Great roasted coffee! The decor was also a bonus feature!
Great soups, could eat there 5 times a week!! They do there best rendition of a Vietnamese soup restaurant, enjoy it every time!! Filling and hits the spot.
Great service and good sized portion! The curry, basil and coconut milk chicken seemed like a tasty idea until they overdosed the flavors with lemongrass. Why don't they mention this ever so important and over-powering ingredient on the menu. I enjoyed the meal but I could have done without that lemon flavor for which I detest!! Please put this on your menus: LEMONGRASS FLAVORS!!
By far the best Chinese restaurant in Chinatown!! This is my families favorite restaurant, we frequent Beijing 7-8 times a year! Our favorite dishes are: general Tao chicken, Chinese broccoli and beef, hot and sour soup, steamed oysters, Cantonese chow mein, duck, salt and pepper seafood or shrimps, bok choy with ginger and we usually try one new item per trip. Writing this review just made me hungry for Beijing!!
not too excited about our mediocre experience! Cod fritters were great and fluffy and fried to perfection in fresh oil. My wife's octopus and squid combo was good tasting but the octopus lacked tenderness and heat, same with squid not reheated thoroughly enough. My meal was the chicken and rib combo, the chicken was perfect in every way but I was disappointed with the ribs, the ribs were not heated enough and the cinnamon/brown sugar/nutmeg sauce was less than desirable. We decided that it was not worthy of a second visit.
this is the type of restaurant I would love to discover again and again! All pure restaurant people know what I'm talking about, Just go try it and let me know what you think. BIJOU!!! Awesome food, service was fun and quick, they made me feel good inside from beginning to the end for a total of 20 minutes from beginning to the end. It was different from anything I've experienced!! It was fun and delicious!!
