Since its inception, CINEMANIA has established itself as a masterpiece of French-language cinema: every year for 11 days, more than 70 screenings follow one another, including some highly anticipated premieres. The films are systematically screened in the original French version with English subtitles.
The event offers the public the latest works by the great names of the French-speaking cinema (Nicole Garcia, Costa-Gavras, Arnaud Desplechin, Paul Verhoeven, Jean-Pierre Dardenne and Luc Dardenne, Claude Chabrol and Olivier Assayas) young directors (Emmanuel Mouret, Thomas Lilti, Joachim Lafosse, Guillaume Brac, Katell Quillevere ...). CINEMANIA takes place from the first Thursday of November to the second Sunday of November, at the Cinéma Impérial, but also at the Cinémathèque québécoise and at the Cinéma du Parc in Montreal.
