In 1905 Guiseppe and Maria Padulo left their families, friends and their home in Calabria, Italy, to come to Canada with hopes of establishing a better life for themselves and their family.

In 1935 they, established the first Italian grocery store in Montreal, which was situated in this very, location. ‘ Jos Padulo & Sons ' offered a variety of typical Italian products and at the same time helped and employed many of today's most prosperous Italians.

Inspired by his ancestry, and true to a heritage of good living, "Riccardo Padulo, Guiseppe and Maria's grandson, brings to your table, authentic Italian cuisine at Da Enrico since 1963. Riccardo Padulo, a Vatican-trained culinary chef is the sole chef at Da Enrico and the self-proclaimed perfectionist says he uses only the freshest and authentic ingredients for his menu, which includes a variety of homemade sauces and pastas. The pasta dishes are served to you in pan just like in Italy!
